Minimum Standards for IT Support Eligibility
To ensure we can deliver reliable, secure, and effective IT services, the following minimum standards must be met by any business seeking managed support from Profile IT.
Infrastructure & Systems
Centralised Identity Management:
All users and devices must be managed via Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, or a comparable identity platform.
Business Email Platform:
Clients must use a commercial-grade email service such as Microsoft 365. Free or consumer-grade email services (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo) are not supported.Business-Class Network Equipment:
All firewalls, routers, switches, and access points must be professional-grade and properly configured. Consumer or unmanaged equipment is not eligible for support.
Cybersecurity & Protection
Supported Operating Systems:
All endpoints and servers must run manufacturer-supported operating systems with active security updates (e.g., Windows 10/11 Pro, or newer).Antivirus and Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR):
All devices must have up-to-date, business-grade antivirus and/or EDR solutions managed centrally by Profile IT or an approved provider.Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA):
MFA must be enforced on all cloud platforms, including email, file storage, and remote access systems.Controlled Administrator Access:
Users must not have persistent local administrator privileges unless explicitly required and documented.
Device & Backup Standards
Business-Grade Hardware:
Computers and laptops must be business-grade, in good working order, and ideally less than five years old.Data Backup & Disaster Recovery:
Critical systems and data (including cloud services like Microsoft 365) must have appropriate backup solutions in place. Profile IT can assist with implementing these if absent.Hardware & Asset Inventory:
Clients must maintain an inventory of IT assets or permit Profile IT to document assets as part of the onboarding process.
Service Enablement & Access
Remote Management Tools:
All supported devices must allow installation of Profile IT's Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) agents for ongoing support and maintenance.Credential & Licensing Access:
Administrator credentials and license information must be made available to Profile IT to allow for proper support. Shared or undocumented access credentials are not accepted.IT Documentation & Network Diagrams:
Existing IT documentation (if available) must be shared. Where unavailable, Profile IT will create documentation during onboarding.
